List of Parts 1. Steel wrap
2. Bolt adjusting distance between both mirrors and rotating the secondary mirror around the optical axis. 3. Bolts adjusting the rotation around the 2 other axis. 4. Washer 5. Secondary mirror (glass) 6. Secondary mirror support (hardwood) 7. Spider body (hardwood) Secondary mirror is not hatched on A-A section. Bolts are not drawn on top view (the bottom drawing). Manufacturing The spider body (7) is hardwood
(pick handle for example) so that it does not break when drilled. The
spider must be reliable so that the secondary mirror does not fall, by
no means, on the primary mirror.
Washer (4) may be glued or screwed to support (6). Mirror (5) may be glued to support (6) with 3 points of bathtub mastic and I recommend adding metallic straps to hold secondary mirror should the mastic fail. |
