It is easier to buy ready- made dominoes, but it is hard to find dominoes of that size.

I used pallet wood. It is not a very good idea because planks are very rough, have knots and may be broken, cupped or may not be all of the same thickness. But is was free, so I managed to find good enough pieces.

I drew dotted lines with a pencil to locate dots to drill. I drilled 1 or 2 mm under wood surface. I tried to colour dots with a black marker but black was too cold of a colour and ink was bleeding in the veins of the wood. That is why I decided to burn in the holes with a red-hot iron (heated with a torch). It is also important to sand everything smooth.
